This French Veal Stew recipe is one of my favorites! With rich flavors of wine and fresh thyme. I love cooking a stew as it doesn't require much effort. Leave it on the stove for a few hours and the meal is ready to serve. If you agree you should defiantly give this French Veal stew a try!

Ingredients
- 1/2 kg veal chuck
- 1 onion
- 3 garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp veal fond
- 125 g fresh thyme
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 large carrots
- 200 g mushrooms
- 1 cup white wine
- 1 cup fresh cream
- Salt and pepper
- Butter to fry in
Instructions
- Peel and chop the carrot, onion and garlic. Slice the meet into cubes the size of 2 x 2 centimeters.
- Fry the meat, onion, garlic, mushrooms and bay leaves in a large pot on low heat.
- Pour in wine and let simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Add the carrots, fresh chopped thyme and veal fond. Add enough water to cover the meat and vegetables completely.
- Bring to a boil and let simmer for at least 2 hours.
- Once the stew has simmered for 2 hours and the meat is tender enough. Add fresh cream and flavor with salt and pepper.
- Serve with any side of your liking, for example cauliflower rice.
