Vegetarian Bolognese Keto

I love Bolognese! Here you have my version of a simple Vegetarian Bolognese Keto Recipe. I've used ingredients such as red wine, canned crushed tomatoes and cream fraiche which gives the dish a creamy texture. You have to give this vegetarian keto recipe a try!

  • 500 g soy-based minced meat substitute
  • 1 onion
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 carrots
  • 1/2 cup red wine
  • 400 ml canned crushed tomatoes
  • 400 ml water
  • 1/2 cup creme fraiche
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • 1 tbsp basil
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • Chili powder (optional)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Butter to fry in


  • Peel the carrot and cut into small dice. Peel the onion and garlic, then finely chop.
  • Heat up a frying-pan with butter. Add the onion, garlic and carrots and cook until the onion is soft. 
  • Add minced soy and stir-fry until cooked.
  • Add canned crushed tomatoes, water, red wine, tomato paste, vegetable stock cube and seasonings. Let simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 
  • Add creme fraiche and let simmer for another 5 to 10 minutes. 
  • Serve with a side dish of your choice and grated parmesan on top.
